Satellite L-Band (950-2150MHz) Fibre Optic LinkVialite Classic and HD cards

ViaLite Classic and ViaLiteHD satcom fibre optic link systems are extensively used throughout the world in fixed satellite systems (FSS) such as media hubs, earth stations and teleports as well as mobile satellite systems (MSS), for example VSATs and SNGs.

Satellite operators and service providers have adopted ViaLite satcom fibre optic L-band (as well as IF and S-band) inter-facility links in order to distribute broadband multi-media and IP-centric services.  Operators have realised that significant saving can be found in their cap-ex budget by down-converting off-air (Ku, Ka, C or S-band) traffic to L-band before transporting it over single mode fibre to the operations room.

Based on high-performance Distributed Feedback (DFB) lasers, ViaLite's modular plug and play fibre sub-system guarantees an easy installation every time.  ViaLite offers a range of RF to fibre rack mounted cards plus standalone OEM modules for integration into existing equipment.  To meet satcom operators' diverse FSS and MSS site requirements ViaLite offers a range of indoor rack equipment as well as weather-proof outdoor enclosures designed to meet the most exacting facility requirements.

Engineered to cover the standard 950-2150MHz bandwidth range and integrated between the up/down converter and operations room modem, ViaLite L-band fibre links deliver high performance and reliability.  ViaLite terminal equipment is suitable for use in a wide range of sites and installation support is provided by our technical support team.  Customised service contracts are also available.

High reliability, comprehensive monitoring, large dynamic range and low noise: - these are just some of the performance benefits realised when you install a ViaLite RF-over-fibre inter-facility link.  L-band fibre links are available with manual or automatic gain adjustment, a useful feature for balancing two or more optical links when employed in a redundant configuration.
