C-Band 3.4-7.1 GHz (500 MHz-7.5 GHz)
ViaLite‘s C-Band RF over fiber link covers 3.4 – 7.1 GHz, and has a full operational range of 500 MHz – 7.5 GHz. The range includes the ITU-R radio regulations frequency for fixed satellite – earth to space (7.075 GHz). The link is available as a rack chassis card, purple OEM module or black OEM module.
By removing the need to down-convert signals to an IF band, the link cuts running costs and reduces overall system costs. It can also boost reliability as there are fewer components in a system. The OEM modules have also been designed to use minimal power, resulting in lower running costs and total cost of ownership.

The C-Band Link is available in two formats, each housing either the Tx or Rx module.
– Single rack chassis card
A fully populated 19” 3U ViaLiteHD rack chassis supports up to 26 links and accepts 13 RF cards, plus an SNMP card and dual power supply modules. A 1U chassis accepts three RF cards or two RF cards with an SNMP card.
– Purple OEM Module
A new purple OEM module has been designed and manufactured for C-Band Links to be built into equipment or for stand-alone use. This module is similar in outward design to ViaLite‘s Blue2 module.
– Black OEM Module
The Black OEM module covers a wide frequency range from 10 MHz to 6 GHz, has been designed with harsh environmental conditions in mind and is IP55 rated for outdoor use.
