Recognition for ViaLite in SIG Awards Nomination

ViaLite has been nominated for the Satcoms Innovation Group (SIG) ‘Cooperation Award’ for its joint project with Stanley Healthcare on installing a new critical communications system at the Royal Liverpool Hospital’s COVID-19 ward.

The hospital’s contractor commissioned Stanley Healthcare to install the paging system at short notice. ViaLite was approached to create a fully tested solution within 24 hours and supplied the Blue OEM RF over fiber link for integration into the solution. The success of the project has provided a further opportunity for ViaLite, with the company now appointed to help with a cancer ward.

The Cooperation Award recognizes projects where two or more companies solve a challenge by working together. The Royal Liverpool Hospital project that ViaLite and Stanley Healthcare worked on together is one of three projects nominated for the award.

ViaLite Director of Sales Richard Jacklin discussed the nomination, saying:

“I’m obviously very proud that ViaLite has been nominated by SIG for the Cooperation Award. We live and work in unusual times and supporting our NHS on this project certainly focuses the mind on working together and getting things done quickly and to a high standard.”

The SIG awards recognize SIG members who have made a tangible difference in the satellite communications industry. The winners of the inaugural awards will be decided by the SIG Directors and Board Members, with the winners to be announced on the 14th September.
