ViaLite at Satellite2014 – Washington DC

The Satellite show at the Walter Washington Convention Center in downtown Washington DC was a great show this year.  The ViaLite stand #9029 was very busy!  On show were ViaLiteHD racks embedded into the back wall of the stand and the Satcom6 intelligent outdoor enclosure mounted on pole.  The 3U rack was linked to a PC so that visitors could see the SNMP monitor and control capability.

Besides ViaLiteHD being a finalist in the WTA Teleport awards, the big news was the announcement of our 100km DWDM RF over fiber link.  Being able to transmit up to 96 signals down a single fiber over a distance of 100km without repeaters is quite an achievement, even if we do say so ourselves!  Linking teleports permanently or “borrowing” feeds from another teleport during maintenance are just two of the potential applications discussed during the show.

All agreed 2014 was a great show and we have already booked a bigger space for Satellite 2015!
