Isotropic Uses ViaLite RF over Fiber for Alaska Satcom Links

Satellite internet services provider Isotropic is again investing in ViaLite RF over fiber for high performance satcom links in Alaska. This latest collaboration is a continuation of ViaLite‘s multiple year relationship with Isotropic in support of satellite connectivity.

The products supplied include 3U high 19″ chassis and L-Band High Throughput Satellite (HTS) blind mate cards. Blind mating allows hot-swapping of cards to be carried out in seconds, dramatically reducing downtime and providing five nines (99.999%) reliability. Also, there is no risk of disturbing other on-air connections, even when carried out by non-skilled personnel.

“We are very pleased to continue supporting Isotropic, who share the same values as ViaLite, being the quality of our solutions, our speed of service and support and providing products that exhibit superior Satcom coverage under all conditions,” said Craig Somach, ViaLite Director of Sales.

Isotropic is a global provider of satellite internet services and network management solutions.  It delivers unrivaled certainty for high-risk, high-pressure operations for diverse industries including oil and gas, maritime, and enterprise solutions.
