Strong Presence for ViaLite at the Spring Trade Shows
ViaLite has been attracting plenty of attention at a number of trade shows around the world this spring.
March saw a return to SATELLITE in Washington DC, which attracted over 14,500 visitors. The US satcom market has provided tenfold growth for ViaLite over the last five years, and this year the company’s booth highlighted its Ka-Band Rain Fade Diversity system in a ViaLite ODE-D outdoor enclosure. The system overcomes the problem of rain fade experienced with high frequency communications by cost-effectively linking diverse satcom sites separated by 50-100 km, or even over 100 km.
Another successful show for ViaLite was CABSAT in Dubai, where the company exhibited with its local distributor Symbolise. Focusing on the satcom and broadcast sectors in the Middle East, the stand attracted a large number of visitors, with some serious inquiries on major projects in the region. Visitors said they were impressed by ViaLite’s lower costs, spurious-free dynamic range and five nines reliability, even in the region’s high temperatures.
Back in the US at NAB in Las Vegas in April, ViaLite exhibited in the Central Hall for the first time, highlighting its RF over fiber for broadcast.
“NAB was a very busy show for us,” said Gary Wade, ViaLite Product Manager. “We are becoming very embedded with the broadcasters there, and will definitely be back again next year.”

The next major show for ViaLite will be IBC 2017 in Amsterdam on 15-19 September, stand 1.A21.
